UPDATED HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE / RECYCLING / BULK / VEGETATION PICK-UP DAYS EFFECTIVE 10/1/2025

TUESDAY: HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE (MUST BE BAGGED AND PLACED IN TOWN ISSUED GARBAGE CONTAINERS)

TUESDAY: RECYCLING AND VEGETATION 

FRIDAY: HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE (MUST BE BAGGED AND PLACED IN TOWN ISSUED GARBAGE CONTAINERS)

FRIDAY: BULK PICK-UP

HOUSEHOLD TRASH: Will only be picked up from Town of Haverhill trash containers (no loose bags). Vegetation can be placed in non-Town issued container. If you are in need of a Town issued container, please call the Town Hall at 561-689-0370, ext. 3.

BULK: Any large item that will not fit in the garbage container, such as: refrigerators, ranges, water heaters, freezers, small air conditioners, and other similar large appliances; yard toys; wood and other building materials as a result of small DIY home projects without a contractor, such as scrap flooring, and other scrap materials from small DIY projects. Bulk does not include debris from land clearing, land development, commercial construction, contractor waste, demolition, or major home improvement projects. Bulk trash and furniture must be piled curbside for collection. Glass panes over 3’ square are not allowed. Small items or debris must be containerized.

VEGETATION: Vegetative debris from regular yard maintenance such as grass clippings, shrub & tree trimmings, palm fronds, and small tree branches. Vegetation generated from routine yard maintenance must be piled at the curb at a 6-foot length and not mixed with any other material and less that 50 pounds each. Leaves, coconuts, or other small yard debris need to be containerized. Palm fronds shall be collected un-bundled and shall not exceed six feet in length. 

Vegetation picked up from Belvedere Road and/or Haverhill Road will begin around 6:00am. Residents along those two roads must be sure vegetation is placed curbside before that time (the night before). Vegetation may NOT be placed curbside earlier than 4:00pm Friday before the Tuesday pick-up.

PROPER PLACEMENT:

•    Place your containers curbside the night before your collection date.
•    Position wheels away from the street.
•    Place containers three (3) feet away from cars, trees, and mailboxes.
•    Do not block driveways or sidewalks.
•    Please do not over stuff your containers.

All yard maintenance companies must be registered with the Town of Haverhill before commencing work. All landscapers performing lawn maintenance and yard work on private property must remove vegetative waste from residential properties in excess of 5 cubic yards.

Lastly, if you plan to have a large amount of bulk and/or vegetation, it would be helpful if you contacted Town Hall at 561-689-0370 ext 3 ahead of time so we can plan accordingly to be sure that all curbside bulk and vegetation is removed timely.
